“Yoga does not just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees.”
― B.K.S. Iyengar, Light on Life

On Teaching
I started my yoga teacher training with an Integrated Hatha Yoga and Ayurveda 200 hour in 2011 and to deepen my teaching skills I followed this with a 500 hour teacher training with Ruth White who was one of Iyengar’s students. I continue to attend further teacher trainings to broaden my experience ongoing.
I started teaching in 2011 when I set up a weekly class for my colleagues which is still going strong today.
It’s so rewarding to see people change physically and mentally in such a positive way, after several months of practicing yoga.
I had major surgery in April 2017 after a riding accident and have found yoga helped so much in my recovery.
Through this injury I have learnt so much more about the body and specifically around restorative yoga poses.
So I am now also offering restorative yoga for those with aches, pains and those recovering from injuries.
When going through difficult times, I will always step onto my mat to find peace and clarity of mind, it’s an incredible life tool.
Over the years I have explored many different styles such as Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Sivananda, Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Bikram and more and have been taught by many inspiring yoga teachers and as a result of this I feel I can adapt and tailor my teaching to a wide range of people with different requirements.
My classes are based on the precision and accuracy of Iyengar which helps to harmonise mind and body and as a result increases strength, stamina, improves posture and can cure many medical conditions. I combine this style with the creative fluidity of Vinyasa Flow which complement each other so well.
Through my training with Ruth White, I have learnt to accommodate all levels in my classes and allow each to gain the maximum benefit from the class in a relaxed, safe and fun way. I like to include a variety of methods such as pranayama (breathing), meditation and yoga nidra (yogic sleep at the end of the class). I like to focus on a mix of qualities such as alignment, balance, strength and at the same time keeping the postures soft.
I have a passion for Latin dance which I find to be an additional great way to find a natural connection to the body and have been riding horses since I was 10 and find yoga the perfect compliment to help with balance and mobility.
